OCEBIS (OCEan Biological Information Service) is an open Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service (CMEMS) downstream service that will provide real-time and hindcast data maps of bottom-up ecosystem drivers, based on Copernicus Marine Service operational physical and biogeochemical data products. Examples of this is frontal and mesoscale structures, spatial biological indices and marine spatial connectivity. The service will consist of two components:

  1. a public operational web service providing continuous updated real-time maps of biologically relevant data layers and
  2. software components at public web sites for free download, used to generate downstream data for the OCEBIS web service.

The service is currently under development for the European North West Shelf.
